What is Got Agua?
Got Aqua? is based upon the twofold belief that the lack of access to safe drinking water is a leading cause of disease and poverty and together we can make a difference. Put simply, a child should not die every 20 seconds due to a water-related disease. We can do better.
Every 20 seconds, a child dies of a water-related illness. Amazingly, this startling statistic represents an improvement. A few years ago, a child died of a water-related disease every 15 seconds.
Got Aqua? is a 100% volunteer-based, international, non-profit organization with 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status in the United States. We are focused on providing safe water supplies, sanitation and hygiene facilities to children and their families located in India, Africa, and the Philippines. In the United States, we focus our efforts on disaster relief. To achieve this goal, our strategy is simple: work with local communities to provide local solutions to a community’s local water needs.
